AirBeep Warranty

Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies exclusively to Heron AirBeep module purchased directly from Heron or through authorised distributors.

Warranty is only applicable if the product is used in accordance with the operational, safety, and maintenance guidelines outlined in the User Manual. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the warranty being voided.

Limitation of Liability

Heron is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the product, even if informed of such possibilities. Heron’s total liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective devices.

All warranty claims are assessed at Heron’s sole discretion.

Conditions for Exchanges

Heron will honour exchanges under the following terms: 

Eligible Claims 

  1. Defects proven to originate from manufacturing faults or material defects under normal usage
  2. Claims submitted within the valid warranty period – One (1) year from date of collection or otherwise stated
  3. Shipping related damage reported immediately upon receipt (refer to Shipping Damage Protocol)

Note:  

  1. Each claim is only eligible for one-for-one (1 for 1) exchange during the warranty period, no refunds allowed 
  2. Replacement modules continue under the original warranty period, not a renewed term 

Ineligible Warranty Claims

Claims will be denied for products damaged due to:

  1. Improper transportation post-collection
  2. Improper storage conditions
  3. Mishandling by the customer
  4. Shipping not originating from Heron or Heron’s authorized shipping agent

Actions That Void Warranty

The following actions will immediately void your warranty coverage:

Tampering

  • Removal, breakage, or defacement of warranty seals

Disassembly

  • Removing or opening the product’s casing/protective sleeve
  • Accessing internal components of the module

Unauthorized Modifications

  • Any hardware or firmware modifications not expressly approved by Heron
  • Improper repair performed by unauthorized party

Electrical Misuse

  • Charging using power sources exceeding 5V 3A 
  • Use of cables, adapters, chargers, or power sources that are non-certified, damaged, incompatible or not in accordance with the specifications outlined in the User Manual
  • Damage due to overvoltage, power surges, or incorrect charging methods

Improper Use

  • Failure to follow official setup, usage, or maintenance guidelines
  • Exposure to liquids or submersion
  • Exposure to excessive dust, corrosive environments
  • Exposure to intense shock or vibration
  • Exposure to extreme heat or low temperatures
  • Direct sunlight exposure for prolonged periods
  • Physical damage, misuse, abuse or negligence
  • Dropping, crushing, puncturing, or other mechanical damage
  • Use in applications not intended or recommended by Heron

Normal Wear and Tear 

Expected degradation over time, including but not limited to: 

  • Battery performance declines due to charge cycles 
  • Overcharging, deep discharging, or improper charging practices 
  • Aesthetic wear (scratches, discoloration)
  • Gradual reduction in operational efficiency inherent to electronic devices

Warranty Exclusions

The following items are not covered under this warranty:

  • Storage boxes

  • Charging cables

  • Mounting accessories

  • Other ancillary or bundled items

  • Heron AirBeep Module devices obtained through unauthorised dealers

Shipping Damage Protocol

  1. Inspect the AirBeep Module device upon receipt
  2. Charge for the recommended duration
  3. Turn on the device to test its functionality
  4. If device is found to be damaged or faulty, submit a warranty within 7 days from the date of delivery 

How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim:

  1. Contact Heron Support: https://heron-airbridge.com/warranty-claim

  2. Provide:

    • Proof of purchase (collection slip or invoice)

    • Product serial number

    • Description of the issue

    • Photos of the issue (if applicable)

    • Your contact information

Heron Customer Support will respond within three (3) working days.

Products sent without prior approval will not be processed and will not be returned.

Amendment of Terms

Heron AirBridge reserves the right to amend, modify, or update the terms of this warranty at its sole discretion. Any such changes will be made available via our official communication channels or website. Continued use of the product or service after any amendments have been made shall constitute your acceptance of the revised warranty terms.
