Singapore, 1 December 2025 – Heron AirBridge successfully completes the nationwide distribution of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS)-approved Broadcast Remote ID (B-RID) modules. Equipping unmanned aircraft (UA) operators across the country to meet the new Remote ID regulations coming into effect today.

In April 2025, Heron was appointed to support Singapore’s unmanned aircraft community by delivering CAAS-approved AirBeep-B B-RID modules. Between 23 June and 29 November 2025, the company completed the distribution process, with a total of 2764 applicants collecting 5951 units through a dedicated booking and collection system.

With thousands of modules now in the hands of recreational and commercial operators, the initiative strengthens low-level airspace awareness and supports Singapore’s broader efforts to keep drone operations safe, visible, and accountable.

“This programme has been about more than just hardware distribution,” said Ryan Lee, CEO of Heron AirBridge. “By helping thousands of operators configure and understand their B-RID modules, we’ve lowered the friction of compliance and built confidence for everyday flights. It’s a meaningful step forward for safer, better-managed skies in Singapore.”

From Distribution to Long-Term Support

Throughout the distribution period, the Heron team managed demand spikes, refined appointment flows and continuously improved the collection experience based on user feedback.

Every redemption was handled one applicant at a time, with staff personally explaining how Remote ID enhances airspace awareness and assisting with configuration and installation.

“Our team treated every appointment as a chance to educate and support,” Lee added. “From answering ‘十万个为什么’—a hundred thousand whys—with patience and heart, to staying late to refine processes on the fly, this was truly a whole-of-Heron effort. The spirit of service is a value we hold dear and carry forward in everything we do.”

As the distribution phase concludes, Heron will continue to support AirBeep users through guidance materials, customer support channels, and ongoing engagement with the UA community, helping operators stay confident and compliant in their day-to-day flights.

Continuing Commitment to Safe Skies

Although the CAAS B-RID distribution programme has now been completed, Heron emphasises that its work with CAAS and the unmanned aircraft (UA) community is ongoing.

We are committed to maintaining support for current B-RID module operators under Singapore’s Remote ID framework and, critically, to educating the incoming wave of new drone operators on how B-RID ensures their compliant and safe flight.

Beyond this, we will continuously invest in innovation, integrating the latest technological advancements to enhance product performance and deepen the seamless functionality between AirBeep and the AirBridge mobile application to create a smarter, safer low-level airspace.

In addition to the CAAS-funded distribution programme, B-RID modules are also available via Heron AirBridge’s Shop, giving operators who still require a module a straightforward way to equip their aircraft.

“Completing this distribution programme is a foundation, not a finish line,” said Lee. “It is the first step toward safely scaling drone operations in Singapore’s complex and dense urban airspace. We remain committed to supporting CAAS and the UA community to fly safely and compliantly, and to building the digital infrastructure that future unmanned traffic management will rely on.”
